Akin to Devil and God - The Omega Book (1985-6) in structure, the first of a succession of so-called supernotational volumes by John O’Loughlin stemming from the mid-eighties, this 1986 project combines nearly 250 supernotes (essayistic aphorisms and aphoristic essays) in its investigation of a variety of subjects, with particular reference to the relationships between materialism, naturalism, realism, and idealism in what is conceived to be an evolutionary framework.
