THE UNIVERSAL SONG OF LIFE

The universal song of life the Universe began,

Whose forms and feelings, unrefined,

Were soon bequeathed to man,

With ample scope, nay utter need,

To instigate a plan,

And bring about a sense of rule

Whereby the gods could ban

All those who sinned and misbehaved

Or failed to bear the can.
