THE POLITICS OF SEXUALITY: A six-chapter
novella of first-person and loosely autobiographical tendency, this text
explores the concept of sexual politics, or the notion that every mode of
politics has a sexual corollary. Although
such an idea was by no means new to my work at this time (1984), it hadn't been
explored to anything like the same extent before, and it is a theme to which I
have since returned quite frequently, always seeking to improve upon my initial
theories, which, through bitter experience over the years, I've learnt to
regard as more of a springboard to better things than as a definitive
statement.
